WARRANTY

Every bike is covered under our manufacturer’s one year or 1,000 kms (whichever comes first) warranty for the original owner against all manufacturing defects.     The aluminium frame warranty is for life for the original owner against all
manufacturing defects.

Warranty parts will only be shipped within the continent of Africa. If you
purchased a bike and had it then shipped to another country, parts will only be sent to the country in which the bike was originally sent. Recon Power Bikes Africa warrants this product, including all individual components against  defects in material or workmanship as follows:

LIMITED 1 YEAR

WARRANTY

Recon Power Bikes’ bicycle components including forks, stem, handlebar,headset, seat post, saddle, brakes, lights, bottom bracket, crank set, pedals, rims, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, shifter, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, LCD display, kickstand, reflectors and hardware are warranted to be free from manufacturer defects in materials and/or workmanship for a 1 year period from the date of original purchase.

Wear and tear is not covered under warranty.
Recon Power Bikes’ lithium ion batteries are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for a 1 year periodfrom the date of original purchase. The battery warranty does not includedamage from power surges, use of improper charger, improper maintenance or other such misuse, normal wear or water damage.

CLAIMS

All claims to this warranty must be made through
Recon Power Bikes Africa. Proof of purchase will be
required with any warranty request.

Before making a warranty claim, we suggest that you
contact our Technical Support team there may be a
simple fix for your problem.

Valid warranty claims will be processed through
Recon Power Bikes Africa within one year of initial
purchase. Please submit any warranty claims and
technical support queries to:

TERMS OF SERVICE

SHIPPING

*FREE SHIPPING WITHIN SOUTH AFRICA

We are currently only shipping to areas within the borders of South Africa. In-stock orders typically ship next business day, unless otherwise noted on product page. A shipping confirmation email will be sent to the email address attached to the order once the order has shipped. Where possible we will ship the elecric bike to an Recon Power Bike Africa approved and authorised distributor in your region where the bicycle will be assembled and set-up prior to collection.

Should a dealer not be available close to you, we will deliver the electric bike via courier to your door.

Please note we are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items due to any parcel/courier service fault.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you are shipping an item over R1000.00, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

For any third-party shipping, Recon Power Bikes Africa cannot provide ANY additional shipping information or documentation.

RETURNS

POWERBIKE ORDERS & IN-STORE PURCHASES

Must have less than 16 kilometers on the odometer.
Must be in like new condition and free from dirt, dust, or fragrances.
Must be in the same packaging (all cardboard and foam) and condition that you received it (applicable to online purchases)
Must include all items that were included inside the box
Customers must receive prior authorization

Any standard warranty issues must be resolved through Product Support and or your dealer before we will process a return. Refunds will be made after the bike is received and inspected. The inspection process will typically take about one week once the bike is received. Once the entire inspection is completed, refunds will typically be processed in about 1-2 business days.

ACCESSORY & REPLACEMENT PART ORDERS

To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused and uninstalled, free from dirt, dust, or any fragrances, and in the same packaging and condition that you received it.

E-bikes that do not meet the conditions specified
above and / or accessories / replacement parts
which have been used and / or installed may not
be returned except in EXTREME cases of breakage /
malfunction covered by our warranty, and then only
after receipt of our approval for the return.

Before a return is sent, the customer must have
received written approval of said return from Recon
Power Bikes Africa. If a customer sends a return
without the written consent of Recon Power Bikes
Africa a refund will not be issued and the customer
will have to pay shipping for us to return the item
to them, or forfeit the item. product, or for online
purchases:

Please notify us after you send your return by
emailing info@reconpowerbikes.co.za. If possible,
please provide a tracking number. If non-returnable
items are returned without authorization from our
Customer Experience team, they will be returned
to the customer immediately and customer will be
notified. Restocking fees may apply to unauthorized
returns.

SERVICING YOUR RECON

SERVICING

As with all vehicles, maintenance and services are required to ensure that
your powerbike operates properly and efficiently throughout its lifespan. Its
important to have your powerbike serviced in accordance to the recommended
service schedules

RECOMMENDED SERVICING REQUIREMENTS

Service intervals – 1 000km or 1 year (whichever occurs first)
• Replace chain
• Replace brake fluid
• Replace gear cable

Check: Brake Pads and Discs, Free Wheel Hub (Lube) and Shocks Dust Covers.
Recommended: Change sludge in tires

After the third chain change it is recommended to replace the drive train:
Cassette, Jokey and Front Ring.

For optimum enjoyment ensure tire pressures are between 1.0 and 1.3 PSI and
the chain is lubed.
